AVA is hiring: Director of Marketing and Public Relations

The Academy of Vocal Arts seeks a dynamic marketing and public relations specialist, who will be responsible for managing the AVA brand, and promoting the AVA opera season and program.


Reporting directly to the AVA Vice President and General Manager, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations serves as the senior marketing specialist, managing the marketing department; establishing and regularly updating the ticketing-based earned income budget and overseeing all earned income-oriented marketing expenses; developing all associated marketing, communications, public relations strategies, and market research; and working collaboratively with AVA  staff and board, and with  local, national, and international artists and arts organizations.


Key responsibilities include conceptualizing, planning, and executing a fully integrated marketing and public relations program in support of AVA’s opera season and training program. The Director will promote and advertise in recruiting potential Resident Artists. This position will  work closely with the Director of Patron Engagement.
