Alexa Frankian, soprano, received a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto and also received an Artist Diploma at The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School. Frankian received the Encouragement Award at the 2024 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Bufalo-Toronto District, and a third-place win at the 2023 Mildred Miller International Voice Competition. Recent roles include Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmélites and Older Woman in Jonathan Dove’s Flight. This summer Frankian joins the Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera.
