Register for the 2026 Bloomsday Festival
The Academy of Vocal Arts will once again partner with Rosenbach Museum & Library for the annual The 2026 Bloomsday Festival on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, joining one of Philadelphia’s most beloved literary celebrations honoring James Joyce’s Ulysses.
As part of the day’s festivities, AVA Resident Artists Jasmine Ismail, Jacob Hanes, and Dawson Franzino will perform in a special recital at AVA at 3:00 p.m. The trio will then appear later that evening as featured performers during the festival’s main event at the Rosenbach Museum & Library beginning around 6:00 p.m. Pianist Sarah Thune will provide accompaniment for both performances.
Bloomsday commemorates June 16, 1904, the single day on which James Joyce’s landmark novel Ulysses takes place. Celebrated around the world each year, the festival brings together literature, music, theater, and community in tribute to one of the most influential works of modern literature.
Hosted by the Rosenbach Museum & Library, the 2026 festival will feature public readings from Ulysses, gallery talks, special presentations, and performances throughout the day on historic Delancey Place in Philadelphia.
Audience members are encouraged to attend and celebrate this unique collaboration between two of Philadelphia’s treasured cultural institutions. Registration for the Rosenbach’s Bloomsday Festival events is now open through the museum’s official event page.
